1964-70 Corning Glass Center

Scope Name: Corning Glass Center.  It Exists in 2 versions.  A scope with the normal Steven metal eye piece and a scope with a cardboard eye piece that says "Corning Glass Center" (see above photo).

Scope Number: Unknown  (the scope appears to be a number 150 based on the size and materials).

Description: The scope has a rainbow of the 4 basic colors.  It has dark strips running lengthwise along it and says "Kaleidoscope - Corning Glass Center - Corning, N. Y."   (see pictures below).

Year: 1970 or earlier (the year is not listed on scopes).

Production Site: Hermann, Missouri

Dimensions: 8 5/8 inches tall (includes 2 5/8 inch cell) and 2 inches in diameter (cell is 2 3/8 inches in diameter).

Interior Image: 5 Point Mandala (36 degree 2-mirror system).

Objects:  Colored plastic pieces.

Below photo shows scopes.  Notice that a third version may exist (shown in the middle in the 2 below photos).  It had a metal eye piece and the wording in the object cell "kaleidoscope" runs in the opposite direction (this could also have been a mistake).
